Omar Assafiri is an accomplished microbiologist with a PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia. His research focuses on bacteriophages, particularly in treating multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae. He holds a Master of Teaching in Biology and Chemistry from the University of New South Wales and an MS in Biology from Beirut Arab University.
